Bored of devices running Android or iOS and want to try something new? Chinese tablet maker Cube has a slate that might be suited to your experimental needs.

The i7 Remix tablet is an atypical model in the sense that it runs Remix OS, a customized version of Android that has been designed to look and function a bit like Windows. What’s more, the tablet even has a Windows physical button located up front. That’s because the device maker says the slate could be made to run Windows too.

We just got our hands on one of the i7 Remix tablets here at Softpedia and in the upcoming days we will provide you with a detailed review of the device, highlighting its best and worst aspects.

The Cube i7 Remix tablet comes with a spacious display, of 11.6 inches with 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution. We don’t have a keyboard accessory to go along with the device, but judging by its size, it would certainly come in handy. Cube is selling a keyboard for the slate separately.

Moreover, the device ships with an Intel Atom Z3735F Bay Trail processor fitted with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage and takes advantage of a whopping 8,400 mAh battery. The slate is available via online retailer Gear Best for a price tag of $185 / €170.

Stay tuned to find out more about what it is like to play with the Cube i7 Remix tablet.
