Rumors about a new tablet that Nokia might launch emerged back in 2013. According to those rumors, the so-called Lumia 2020 should have been released sometime in 2014.

Unfortunately, the tablet was canceled by the time it should have been released on the market and news about this decision surfaced a few months earlier.

The reason might be the fact that, around the same time that Lumia 2020 was canceled, Microsoft announced that it had acquired Nokia's mobile and services decision.

So, Microsoft might be the company that decided to cancel the tablet, probably for fear of competing with its own Surface series. Obviously, these are just speculations and we will probably never know why Nokia Lumia 2020 never made it to market.

That being said, it looks like the sale has just been resurrected by Finnish blog BestMobile. What does that mean? It means that the said blog has just published two pictures allegedly showing the Nokia Lumia 2020, the canceled tablet also know as “Illusionist.”

PureView camera and Snapdragon 800 CPU

Judging from the specs mentioned in these pictures, the Lumia 2020 was quite a decent tablet. On the hardware side, the slate was equipped with a 2.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor and 2GB of RAM.

In addition, the tablet sports an 8.3-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display that supports full HD (1080p) resolution. On top of the that, Lumia 2020 also packed nanoSIM card and stylus support.

Furthermore, one of the images reveals that the tablet also featured a PureView camera on the back with Carl Zeiss lens and LED flash. This must have been a very good camera for a tablet.

Last but not least, when it comes to software, Nokia Lumia 2020 was powered by Windows RT 8.1, which is now a dead operating system.
